Are you a bird lover who wants to create habitat to attract birds to your outdoor spaces? Do you love native plants? Are you intrigued by observing nature in your own yard? If so, you won’t want to miss this presentation, “Creating a Wildlife Sanctuary,” by the Betsy Martin and Barbara Tuset, Co-Directors of ASNV’s Wildlife Sanctuary program.
Betsy and Barbara will explain the program and its philosophy, introduce best practices you can adopt to create healthy habitat, and outline how to go about getting your property certified as a Wildlife Sanctuary. If you are in Alexandria or Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Fauquier, or Rappahannock counties, you’ll have the chance to sign up for a free visit from an program ambassador who will advise on native plants suitable for your yard and steps you can take to improve wildlife habitat.
